Photos Of Our Learning Term 2
We have so many exciting things planned this term, Te Reo Maori, Movement Skills, Road Safety and a really fun Science Unit about Planet Earth and Beyond.
Writing
We have come a long way with our story writing this term. Here are some examples of us working independently.
Dancing
We have been learning to...
-Keep in time.
-Follow directions.
-Use rhythm and groove.
Wow! This has been such a valuable learning experience.
Science
We are just beginning our science rotations. We will be learning about shadows, day and night, the moon, planet Earth and seasons.
Lunch Time
I love watching the children interact during lunch time. Their conversations are just gorgeous.
Road Safety
Constable Andy came to talk to us about Road Safety. We learnt about crossing the road safely and checking for sneaky driveways.
Get Wise
Jeremy from ASB bank came to visit us this week and he bought Captain Cashtastic with him to talk to us about how to save money.
Casey Caterpillar
We have made so much progress with our Casey Caterpillar shapes. Our letters are sitting on the branch and we are using the broken branch to get the correct size.
Reading
Good readers...
-Look at the word and point to it.
-Use the picture clues.
-Use the beginning sound when they get stuck on a tricky word.
Musical Instruments
We read a book called Tim's T-Shirts and Tim wore really noisy T-Shirts. We got our the musical instruments and made lots of noise like Tim.
Jump Jam
On Friday mornings we get out on the Tiger Turf with the whole school and participate in Jump Jam. This is a great way to warm up in the mornings.

We are learning to...
-Order numbers to 10
-Count backwards from 10
-Recognise patterns to 10
