Weeks 1-4.
We have been learning to ask nicely and wait patiently. We have had lots of visitors for Discovery Time and it's been so much fun.

Room 2 joined us for Discovery Time, it was so much fun sharing our learning with our friends. We were learning to show respect for each other and our classroom.

We are learning to show respect for our classroom and each other. We need to put equipment away when we have finished it so that it doesn't get broken.

We are getting good at asking our friends if we can play with them. It is important to talk about the games that we are playing so we all know how to play.

Today we were learning how to join in on games with our friends. We need to say, "can I please play with you?"
Young Explorers came for a visit today too. We loved sharing our learning with them.

Such a beautiful day for Discovery Time. We made huts, played on the playground and gave lots of compliments.

We are learning to give a compliment. This means we say something kind to someone.

We are learning to work as a team. We found this really tricky this week and we had to listen to each other carefully.

We are learning to work together as a team. We have to listen to each other, use our manners, ask questions and share.

This week we have been learning to be a good friend. We had children from Tuakau Learning Center come and join us and we had to help them be a good friend by listening to each other, speaking kindly and sharing.

This week we are learning about perseverance. This means that we keep on trying when things get tricky and we never give up.

This week we had the students from Flying Turtles come and join us for Discovery Time. We helped them to learn to speak kindly to each other.

This week we are learning to speak kindly to each other. This means that we use our manners, we use a friendly tone of voice and we give compliments.

Today we had the children from Young Explorers come and join in on Discovery Time. We helped them to learn all about problem solving. We enjoyed sharing our learning with them.

Our focus this week is problem solving. To solve a problem we need to keep on trying. Never give up.

We are learning to manage ourselves. This means.. -We are taking responsibility for our own belongings. -We tidy away the things that we use. -We work with people who help us with our learning.

When we speak kindly to each other we use our manners.
We share.
Ask for things.
Don't talk when others are talking.

When we solve problems we have ago. We stop and think how can I solve this myself? We can ask a Little Teacher to help us.

When things get tricky we keep trying.
We can ask someone to help us (our friends can be our little teachers)
Don't give up.
